Verified contributors get a profile on Less.co.uk that shows your business, website and phone. It puts your details in front of homeowners who are actively looking for your trade, not buried in another directory.

How it works
Submit your prices
Fill in the submission form with your business name, trade, region, and typical pricing for the jobs you do. You can submit prices for multiple job types in one go.
We verify your details
We check whatever applies to you: Companies House if you are a limited company, Gas Safe or FENSA if you hold a scheme number, and your trading name and area if you are self-employed. Usually under 48 hours.
Your listing goes live
Once verified, your business shows up in the Trusted Contributors section on the cost pages you cover, and your prices feed into our regional averages. You get the verified badge, and your website and phone are there for homeowners to get in touch.
What we don't do

- We don't rank contractors by price - the cheapest quote isn't always the right one
- We don't let you pay to rank higher in listings
Common questions
Is it completely free?
Yes. Submitting your prices, getting a listing, and earning the verified badge costs nothing. We may introduce a paid tier in the future for additional features, but the core listing will always be free for contributors.
Who sees my submission?
Your business name, trade specialism, and region appear in the Trusted Contributors section on relevant cost pages. Your pricing data is aggregated into the regional averages - we don't publish individual quotes as a price list.
What if my prices change?
Log in and update your submission at any time. We ask for one submission per job type per year minimum, but you can update whenever material or labour costs shift.
What counts as a 'tip from the trade'?
A short, practical sentence or two that helps homeowners understand what affects the cost of your type of work. For example: 'Asbestos in older artex adds a day and specialist disposal cost - always budget for a test.' No sales language, no phone numbers. Our team reviews all tips before they go live.
How does the verification process work?
If you trade as a limited company we look you up on Companies House. If you are self-employed there is no register to check, so we go on your trading name, the area you work in, and any scheme number you have given us. Where it applies we check that against the trade's own database (Gas Safe, NICEIC, NAPIT, FENSA and so on). Being self-employed is not a problem and most of the people we want to hear from are. It takes up to 48 hours after you submit your details.
Will my business appear in search results?
Your listing on Less.co.uk can appear in Google searches. As the site grows, your business name appears alongside trusted pricing data - putting you in front of homeowners who are actively planning a job.
